The New York City Police Department is searching for a suspect in connection with an assault on a bus driver earlier this month.
The driver was operating a westbound B82 bus in the vicinity of Bay 37th Street and Crospey Avenue on May 22 when he became engaged in a dispute with a passenger at around 2 p.m.
The suspect proceeded to stab the bus driver once in the left hand before fleeing the bus and running northbound on 24th Avenue.
Emergency responders brought the victim to NYC Health+Hospitals/Coney Island in stable condition.
Cops described the suspect as male, approximately 30 years old, 5’10’’, with a dark complexion and weighing approximately 160 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a red polo shirt with the number 5 written on the right side, light blue denim jeans and red and white sneakers. He was also wearing a black fanny pack.
