Red robbing
Two men robbed a septuagenarian on West Ninth Street on March 16.
The 73-year-old victim told cops that he was near Hicks Street at 3 pm when the daft duo came up behind him, knocked him to the ground, and rifled his pockets.
The creeps, who were both wearing red hats, made off with $250 and a Social Security card.
Ides extortion
A man tried to extort a Columbia Street property owner on March 15.
The 39-year-old victim, whose property is near Coles Street, told cops that the thug demanded $350 a week at around 9:40 am, saying, “You have to pay for protection.”
Read ’n’ fight
A Cobble Hill high school student assaulted a security guard on March 16.
The 62-year-old victim told cops he was leading the 16-year-old student off school grounds, when the student grabbed the guard at around 2:45 pm, causing him to fall. Moments before the assault, the student was suspended from the Baltic Street school, and became enraged, cops said.
