iPod insult
A thief swiped an iPod from a 29-year-old woman on June 5 then insulted her intelligence during a text exchange later that day.
The woman said that she and the thief — an acquaintance — were leaving the Pathmark inside the Atlantic Center Mall at Atlantic Avenue and Fort Greene Place at 2 pm when the 24-year-old suspect asked to see her iPod Touch.
When the woman handed it over, the thief started to exit the cab, suddenly claiming he had to go back inside the supermarket.
The woman grabbed the iPod from him, but he snatched it back, explaining he’d return in a few minutes.
He didn’t.
Upset, the woman texted the suspect, asking him where he was so she could get her iPod back.
His response made it quite clear she wasn’t going to see him or the iPod again: “I’m at [the corner of] Psyche and You’re a Fool avenues.”
Lewd lunacy
A man was arrested on June 10 after he was caught naked and doing drugs inside a public rest room at Crispus Attucks playground.
Police said that a 12-year-old girl spotted the man in the woman’s restroom inside the playground at the corner of Fulton Street and Classon Avenue at 2:30 pm.
When a teacher entered the restroom, the 40-year-old suspect began screaming at her, threatening to beat her with a cane.
Cops arrested the man on menacing charges.
Dragged into it
A gun-toting thief dragged a 22-year-old woman into Fort Greene Park before robbing her of her property on June 8.
The young victim said that she was on Adelphi Street near Myrtle Avenue just after midnight when the thief surprised her and forced her into the park a block away.
That’s where the thief threatened to shoot her and rummaged through her bag, taking $60, an iPod and the woman’s cellphone, officials said.

A 23-year-old woman from Brooklyn, Pa. didn’t have a fun visit to the borough of churches on June 13. Not only did she get a parking ticket, but someone made off with her purse as she celebrated at a Myrtle Avenue bar!
The victim told police she left her purse underneath her chair as she stepped outside of Tamboril between Grand Avenue and Steuben Street at 3:30 am to have a smoke. When she returned, her bag was gone, along with her credit cards and the parking ticket she had received.
Cutting it short
A blade-wielding thug stabbed a man on June 12 on Fulton Street.
Police said the thief confronted the 27-year-old near Washington Avenue at 1 am, pulled a knife, and said, “You know what this is.”
When the victim refused to hand over his property, the thief stabbed the man and ran off. The victim is expected to recover.
Game over
A thief held up a 29-year-old straphanger on June 7, but didn’t have long to enjoy his ill gotten gains.
Police said the suspect tracked his victim along Washington Avenue between Lafayette and Greene avenues at 12:35 am and then pulled a gun on the man, demanding his money.
“This ain’t a game,” the thief said as he swiped some cash and ran off, only to be apprehended at Greene and Grand avenues.
Timed theft
A thief snatched a woman’s iPhone from her hands after asking for her help on June 6.
The woman told police that she was waiting on the Manhattan-bound platform inside the Classon Avenue station at 10 pm when the thief approached and asked for the time.
When the woman pulled her iPhone out to check, the thief grabbed it and ran off.
The woman gave chase, but lost the thief when he ran up into the street.
Wheeled away
A thief stole a $700 bike from S. Oxford Street on June 8.
The victim told police that he left his bike between Lafayette and Greene avenues at 3:30 pm. When he returned, his wheels and his Kryptonite lock were gone, taken by a 6-foot-2 man in his 40s who was sporting dreadlocks and a grey beard, according to witnesses.
Phone swipe
A heavy-handed thug punched a 13-year-old in the face during a cellphone robbery on June 8.
The victim told police he was nearing the corner of Fulton Street and Classon Avenue with his brother at 12:30 pm when the suspect attacked and ran off with the $200 phone.
Seven on one
Seven teenage thugs surrounded and then robbed a 15-year-old boy of his cellphone on June 8.
The victim told police he was walking past the corner of Willoughby and St. Edwards streets at 3:35 pm and attacked, kicking him until he gave up his phone.
