Phony cop threatens and robs man in basement

60th Precinct

Shook down

A phony police officer robbed a guy in a W. Second Street basement on May 8.

The victim’s friend was haranguing him to give her a ride to Sheepshead Bay, and the guy finally agreed, driving the woman to an apartment between between Shore Parkway and Avenue Z at 10:40 pm, officials said. Once there, the pair met another guy who took them to the building’s basement, police said.

A fourth man was waiting in the basement — he whipped out a badge and told the chauffeur to get up against the wall, a police report states. The fake cop flashed a holstered gun, then took the guy’s phone, keys, and wallet containing $800 before telling the victim to scram, police said.

Sacked

A bruiser sacked a woman with a purse on Mermaid Avenue for no apparent reason on May 3.

The ruffian swung her handbag at a 16-year-old girl between W. 28th and W. 29th streets in Coney Island at 6 pm, busting the girl’s lip, police said.

Rx for theft

Two separate looters made off with almost $30,000 in medical equipment after breaking into two different offices in a Coney Island Avenue health care facility on May 4 and again on May 6.

An intruder broke into a dentist’s office in the building between Neptune Avenue and Brighton Eighth Court in Brighton Beach sometime between 6 pm and 10 am, stealing $870 and vitamin B injections, police said.

Two days later, someone took $29,000 in electronics from a neurology clinic in the same building — again between 6 pm and 10 am, a police report states.

Brass attacks

A pair of punks punched a guy in the face with brass knuckles — over $50 — on W. 21st Street on May 8.

The dastardly duo surrounded their victim between Surf and Mermaid Avenues in Coney Island at 6:35 pm, police said. The scalawags whacked the guy in the face and filched $50 before fleeing, officials said.
