Design makes the difference

Three cheers to Hannah Ross for her winning uniform design. The Pratt Institute, along with Visiting Nurse Service of New York, challenged students to come up with an innovative uniform to be worn by the staff at the newly opened Haven Hospice Specialty Care Unit in their Designing for a Difference campaign. The competitors were charged with the task of creating a garment that would enhance the soothing, therapeutic and compassionate atmosphere at the facility and our pal Hannah did just that. Her winning jacket features a comfortable length with large handy buttons, side pockets, three quarter sleeves and a calming blue denim color. Standing O’s favorite shade. Not only will the staff be sporting Hannah’s design but Hannah received a $2,500 scholarship to boot.
