Seuss is loose!

Stage-struck students transformed the auditorium of PS 207 into a mini-Great White Way, wowing the crowd with a rollicking production of “Seussical the Musical.”

The costumed song-and-dance fundraiser marked what would have been the 106th birthday of beloved child scribe Dr. Seuss and drew hearty cheers from moms and dads, who clapped and toe-tapped along as their youngsters re-enacted the musical based on the delightful books of Theodor Seuss Geisel.

Kayla Iacono commanded the spotlight as the feisty feline in the “Cat in the Hat,” among the most well-known works of the American writer and cartoonist, whose other tales include “Green Eggs and Ham,” “Fox in Socks” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

Proceeds from the performance will benefit programs at the school on Fillmore Avenue, between Coleman and Kimball streets.
