Shop till you drop! Some of Bklyn’s best Black Friday and Small Business Saturday deals

Present time: Brooklyn’s holiday markets are open!

Calling all bargain-hunting Brooklynites!

Big and small businesses across the borough are kicking off the holiday-shopping season today and tomorrow with plenty of deals as part of the so-called Black Friday and Small Business Saturday post-Thanksgiving buying bonanzas.

Shoppers who can withstand long lines and flying elbows should read on for some of the best promotions going on around Kings County, and for one can’t miss pop-up market in town this weekend only.

Macy’s

The newly renovated Downtown department store got in on the Black Friday action early, with online and in-store sales starting on Wednesday. On Friday, its hours are midnight through 10 pm, and customers who visit that day can expect upwards of 65 percent off on electronics, home goods such as towels, and many other items.

Century 21

Brooklyn’s two Century 21 locations — in Bay Ridge and Downtown — are offering up to 75 percent off select coats, shoes, handbags, home goods, and electronics on Friday. Downtown, the four-level Century 21 inside the City Point complex is open from 8 am to 10 pm, and Bay Ridge’s 86th Street location is open from 9 am to 10 pm.

Target

Bullseye loyalists can cash in on several markdowns on products at any of Target’s six borough locations.

Many big-ticket electronics such as televisions, smartwatches, and kitchen gadgets will be heavily discounted in-store on Friday, when all local outposts — including those in Bensonhurst and Midwood, and at City Point in Downtown, Atlantic Terminal Mall in Fort Greene, Flatbush Junction in Flatbush, and Gateway Center in Canarsie — will be open from 7 am to midnight.

Park Slope Small Business Saturday

Those who need some time between eating and buying can shop locally around the borough on Saturday, where many businesses on Park Slope’s Fifth Avenue will offer deals to customers who stop in.

Such promotions include free in-store wine tastings at Good Wine at 325 Fifth Ave., a 20-percent discount to first-time clients at Loja Salon and Spa at 294 Fifth Ave., and special prices on dishes with the purchase of olive oil at O Live Brooklyn at 145 Fifth Ave., according to the Park Slope Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District, whose head honcho encouraged locals to spend the day exploring the strip.

“We encourage people to come out and shop around,” said Mark Caserta.

Coney Island Small Business Saturday

Many mom-and-pop shops along Mermaid Avenue and in Coney’s Amusement District will offer their own specials to customers who visit on Saturday, during a neighborhood shopping event sponsored by the Alliance for Coney Island.

Participating businesses will fly blue and white balloons from their storefronts to alert patrons to the deals within, which include a 20-percent discount on over-the-counter products and food items at Oceanside Pharmacy at 3206 Mermaid Ave., a $5 breakfast special — which comes with a medium coffee, doughnut, and egg sandwich — at Donut Connection at 1621 Mermaid Ave., and a 15-percent discount on all services, excluding cornrows and sew-ins, priced at $50 or more at Mane Attraction salon at 2408 Mermaid Ave.

Brooklyn Holiday Bazaar

The two-day pop-up market will showcase some of the borough’s best locally produced products, including food, drinks, and handmade goods, spread out among two Gowanus locations on Saturday and Sunday.

The sixth installment of the bazaar will also feature music and crafting activities that will keep kids entertained as mom and dad browse its aisles.
