Good times have begun to roll at the new Full Circle Bar in Williamsburg where the sleight of hand took time out from sipping suds to compete in the first-ever “Brewskee-Ball” contest of the Skee-Ball league.
“We thought that skee-ball is too good of a game for adults not to be able to play it on a daily basis; it’s a perfect mix of ‘brew’ and ‘skee’ and it turned out other people thought so as well,” said Eric Harris Pavony, who founded Brewskee-Ball NYC in 2005 with co-owner Evan Tobias, and now aims to showcase competitions of the 100-year-old, coin-operated arcade game in their hipster establishment, 318 Grand Street.
With three skee-ball lanes, bleacher and lane-side seating, plus a Hall of Fame Wall of Champions, the watering hole is well-poised to serve as the league’s national home to the whimsical game, whose object is to collect as many points as possible by rolling balls up an incline and into the designated point value holes.
Brewskee-Ball NYC runs all winter at Full Circle Bar on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays.
