Buckled
A group of crooks mugged a teenager on S. Oxford Street on Dec. 3.
The 15-year-old victim told cops he was at Atlantic Commons Street at 4 pm when the perp came up to him and said, “I like your belt,” before taking it and his cellphone and pushing him away.
Several other men then walked up to the victim and started kicking and punching him, he told cops.
Money run
A thief robbed a man on Vanderbilt Avenue on Dec. 1.
The 28-year-old victim told cops he was near Myrtle Avenue at 2 pm on his way home from the bank when a man came up to him and pushed what felt like a gun into his back. The thief went through his pockets and took $565 before fleeing.
Beat down
A several thugs beat up another man on S. Oxford Street on Dec. 3.
The 17-year-old victim told cops he was in S. Oxford Park at 4 pm when the group approached him. One sasked, “Are you crip or YBS?”
After the victim said he was neither, the thugs beat him up, and one of them cut him with an unknown object, police reported.
Grab bad
An opportunistic intruder tried to steal from a showering lady on Steuben Street on Dec. 5 — but gave up his spoils when she chased him.
The 23-year-old victim told cops she was just coming out of the shower at her apartment at Park Avenue at 1:30 am when she saw someone walking out with her computer.
She chased him down the street, where she was able to recover her computer, though the scoundrel got away.
G whiz
A degenerate stole some electronics from a G train rider at the Lafayette Avenue subway station on Dec. 4.
The 40-year-old victim told police she the train was at the station near Nostrand Avenue at 7:15 pm when the crook grabbed her iPhone from her hands as the train’s doors were closing.
Bill snatcher
A quick crook stole cash right out of a restaurant patron’s hand on Fulton Street on Dec. 5.
The 69-year-old victim told cops he was paying for his food at a restaurant between Washington Avenue and St. James Place at 11:14 am when the speedy criminal took his $20 out of his hand and fled.
Purse of interest
Police arrested a suspect who they say took a woman’s bag on Greene Avenue on Dec. 5.
The 48-year-old vicim told cops she was at a restaurant between Waverly and Washington avenues at 2:50 pm when the alleged thief entered, took her bag, and fled.
Diamonds aren’t forever
A looter lifted some jewerly from a S. Oxford Street house on Nov. 30.
The 50-year-old victim told cops he placed a bag containing a gold-and-diamond ring in his abode between DeKalb and Lafayette avenues at 9:30 am, and noticed that the bag was gone at 1 pm.
Purse walk
A duo stole a woman’s purse while she was getting her nails done on Fulton Street on Dec. 8.
The 33-year-old victim told cops that she was getting her nails done at a salon between Downing Street and Irving Place when the two degenerates entered, picked up her purse and iPad, and fled..
Going for the con
A crook tried to run a fraudulent scheme on a Clinton Avenue woman around Dec. 5.
The 38-year-old victim at Gates Avenue told cops she was selling an item for $450 and received two money orders from a potential buyer that were hundreds of dollars more than what she was asking.
The potential buyer told her to send him the difference, she said, but when she tried to deposit the money orders at the bank, tellers told her they were fraudulent.
Swings with scissors
An out-of-control woman stabbed a man on Washington Avenue on Dec. 8.
The 37-year-old victim told cops he was at a hotel between Gates and Lafayette avenues at 7 am when he tried to stop an argument between another man and a woman. The woman promptly stabbed him in the chest and the shoulder with a pair of scissors before fleeing, he said.
