Police arrested a man for allegedly shooting two people on Flatbush Avenue on April 13.

Authorities responded to a call of shots being fired between Albemarle Road and Tilden Avenue at 5:15 pm, and found two people with gunshot wounds — a 19-year-old man with a graze wound to the head, and a 62-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the cheek. They were brought to Kings County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

“They are not likely to die,” said a police spokeswoman on April 16.

Shortly after the shooting, police arrested a 19-year-old man from East Flatbush who they believed opened fire on the two victims. He was charged with attempted murder, four counts of felony assault, attempted aggravated manslaughter, two counts of reckless endangerment, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, the spokeswoman said.

Officers found a gun near the scene and took it as evidence. Police do not know any motive for the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing, according to the spokeswoman.
