It’s not just bookworms who love Kurt Vonnegut now — real worms do, too.

The likeness of the legendary author of “Slaughterhouse 5” has been plastered all over a composting box on Columbia Street near the Red Hook cargo port.

Now, as writers ourselves, we’re big fans of Vonnegut, so we’re a bit unsure how we feel seeing his wryly smiling face adorning the side of a worm-filled garbage heap.

Then again, it is a good place to toss in your copy of “Timequake” — and not feel guilty!
