Woman dead after jumping in front of subway at the Barclays Center: Authorities

A woman was killed after she jumped in front of an oncoming B train at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center subway station on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

The woman, who police described as in her 60s, was fatally struck by a Manhattan-bound B train at about 12:27 pm, officials said. Another person, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Brooklyn Hospital Center for non-life-threatening injuries, according to a fire department spokesman.

It is unclear how the hospitalized person was injured.

B and Q trains were delayed in both directions for about 90 minutes after the incident, a Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokesman said.
