Wrestling stars thrill Bay ridge fans – East Coast Professional Wrestling sports new heroes and legends

St. Patrick’s Church morphed into a benefit bump ring for grappling gladiators from East Coast Professional Wrestling, who staged a match to raise money for the Bay Ridge house of worship and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

The battle for Brooklyn revved up with a star-studded card, featuring “Mr. Italy” Gino Caruso and Tony Biella, who defended the honor of St. Patrick’s against Prince Akkanatan and “Sheik” Kodiak Bear, accompanied by Hall of Famer “The Iron Sheik.”

The tacklers helped pack the house of worship, 9511 4th Avenue, with rapt tussling fans, who watched the exciting action unfold between a stellar line-up, which featured bouts between, “The Altar Boy from Hell” Jake Saint and “Brooklyn’s Wildest Party Animal” Ryan Roxbury.

Other crowd-pleasing scuffles pitted “The Ugandan Giant” Kamala against Malta the Damager; “The Human Encore” T.J. Masters” against “Hardrock” Ken Sweeney and former WWE superstar Little Spike Dudley, who battled Jason Static.

The St. Patrick’s wrestling show was the brainchild of Rev. John Maduri and Biella, a former altar boy at Bensonhurst’s Regina Pacis Church.
