Consider this week’s update a compelling argument for the existence of the bus system. (All changes are Saturday, Nov. 12 at 12:01 am to Monday, Nov. 14 at 5 am unless otherwise noted):
2, 3: No trains in Brooklyn. Take the 4 or 5 trains instead. No service at Clark Street at all.
A: Manhattan-bound trains run on the F from Jay Street-Metrotech to W. Fourth Street in Manhattan.
C: No trains from Manhattan to Brooklyn. Take the A or F trains instead.
D: Stillwell Avenue-bound trains run on the N from 36th Street to Stillwell Avenue. Stillwell Avenue-bound trains skip 71st Street (all times).
F: No service between Jay Street-Metrotech and 18th Avenue. Free shuttle buses replace trains.
G: No trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn streets and Church Avenue. Train runs in two segments: Hoyt-Schermerhorn to Bedford Avenue and Bedford Avenue to Court Square in Queens. All trains skip Smith-Ninth Street (all times).
J: Queens-bound trains skip Hewes and Lorimer streets and Flushing Avenue.
M: Trains run every 24 minutes between Myrtle and Metropolitan avenues.
Q: Manhattan-bound trains run express from Kings Highway to Prospect Park.
