Storage wars

Cops arrested a 43-year-old man after he allegedly broke into a Clinton Hill storage facility on Jan. 24.

Staff at Storage Post on Grand Avenue reported that a perp known to them forcefully entered the facility through the backdoor, and broke into three storage rooms. He allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of property from the three units.

The alleged perp was arrested the following evening on Clarkson Avenue after patrolling officers successfully identified him.

Robbed point blank

Two men robbed a woman at gunpoint in a Fort Greene hotel on Jan. 26

The 22-year-old victim was staying at the Casa Blanca hotel on Park Avenue when two men knocked at her door at around 2:30 a.m. The woman reported to police that both men, brandishing firearms, forced their way in when she opened the door. The perps then threatened the woman and demanded she hand over cash.

After taking $1,000 from the victim’s handbag, the men fled in an unknown direction. Cops are hoping to identify the men who were caught on the hotel’s security cameras.

The postman always rings twice

Officers from the 88th Precinct are looking for an attempted mail-thief who used a brick to gain entry to a Fort Greene apartment building on Jan. 27.

According to the residents of the Cumberland Street complex, an unknown man used a brick to break the glass of the front door and broke into the building’s lobby at around 5 a.m.

After rummaging through several packages, the man left the building empty handed but cops are still looking for him due to the $1,000 worth of damage caused to the front door.
