Expensive taste

A no-goodnik stole thousands in jewelry, cash, and electronics from a man’s Brighton 14th Street home on Sept. 18, according to police.

The man returned home just before 8 pm and reported the theft to police when he could not enter his home near Brighton Beach Avenue because the thief had locked the front door from the inside. The miscreant entered the house through an unlocked bedroom window and stole a necklace, earrings, wedding ring, cash, and a brand new iPhone 7, the police report said.

Sour ending

Police arrested a man who stole Honey Buns, Pop-Tarts, and AriZona Iced Tea from a Mermaid Avenue bodega on Sept. 19.

The man tried to make a run for it with the treats just after 7 pm at the store at W. 20th Street. When another man confronted him about stealing the goods, the man flashed a knife and punched the other man in the face. Police arrested the thief around 7:30 pm, according to a report.

School daze

A punk stole a woman’s wallet from her desk at a West Avenue school on Sept. 19 and then used the victim’s credit card, cops said.

The woman left her desk at 2 pm at the school near Mitchell Wesson Place, and when she returned the following day, she realized a perp had stolen her wallet with two credit cards, her driver’s license, and her vehicle registration. And the good-for-nothing started charging items to one of her credit cards shortly thereafter, investigators said.

Vacation ripoff

A sneak thief took advantage of a woman’s vacation when he changed her credit card contact information, requested a new card in her name, and then made unauthorized purchases of more than $1,600 while she was out of the country, the woman reported to police from her Ocean Parkway home on Sept. 18.

The victim alerted police of the scammer just before 4 pm from her residence between Murdock and Nixon Courts, cops said.

Bald-faced crook

A perp looking to grow more hair and treat a cold stole thousands worth of Rogaine and Mucinex from a Brighton Beach Avenue drugstore on Sept. 19, police said.

The thief nabbed the items at the store at Ocean Parkway just before 4 pm. Investigators estimated the worth of the stolen over-the-counter medication was in the thousands, and the hair growth product in the hundreds. Cops are reviewing surveillance cameras in the vicinity.

Just a graze

A lout hit a man in the arm with a pellet fired from a BB gun on Surf Avenue on Sept. 22.

The victim said a ricochet pellet hit him around 11 am as he was working in a park at W. 20th Street, and that it came from the direction of Surf Avenue. He did not sustain any injuries.
