A driver flipped his car into a Avenue J yard after crashing into a truck on Nov. 23.
The victim was driving a new Toyota Camry on Avenue J toward Flatlands Avenue at about 1:30 pm when he struck a furniture-delivery truck at the corner of E. 59th Street, witnesses told a photographer.
The crash propelled the Toyota onto the sidewalk, where it slammed into a tree in the yard of a private home and then flipped over, witnesses said.
The guy was briefly pinned inside his car before emergency responders rescued him, the photographer said. Emergency responders brought the victim to Brookdale Hospital in serious condition, according to fire officials.
There were no other injuries, officials said.
