Left unattended

A carjacker robbed a man in Bath Beach near Benson Avenue and 14th Avenue on Jan. 8.

According to police, the victim left his vehicle running, double-parked and unattended while he waited for a parking space at 5 a.m. As he was waiting, an unknown thief hopped in the car and took off, heading north on 14th Avenue.

The victim also had his cell phone and bank cards in the car when it was stolen.

Expensive routine

A thief robbed a Bath Beach Kohl’s of a bounty of skincare products on Jan. 11.

According to police, the 35-year-old thief entered the store at 9:40 a.m. and selected a variety of skincare items from the shelves. Loaded down with tubes and tubs, the thief left without paying for the items — which were worth a total of $1,315.

Unprovoked attack

A man was enjoying drinks with a friend near Kings Highway and West 8th Street when two men randomly attacked him on Jan. 12.

Police said the attackers walked up to the victim at 3:20 a.m. and hit him in the face with a glass bottle, causing cuts to his face.

The victim later got treated for his injuries at Maimonides Medical Center.

Bad check

Someone scammed a Bath Beach man out of thousands on Jan. 9.

Police said after the victim applied for a job, someone sent him a check for $4,913. The victim deposited the check and was then sent gift cards in the same amount.

The victim’s bank contacted him to say the check did not clear — and now, he needs to pay back the $4,913.
