Broad daylight snatch

Purse snatcher

A hooligan wrapped his arms around his victim and stole her bag on Waverly Avenue on Feb. 1.

The victim said that the perp sneaked up behind her between Lafayette and DeKalb avenues at around 11 am and said, “Give me your bag.”

She handed the school bag over the thief escaped.

Cellphone swipe

Callers, be ware: at least two cellphone thieves were on the prowl last week:

• A punk grabbed a phone out of a woman’s hand on the corner of Flatbush Avenue Extension and Fleet Street near the Long Island University campus on Feb. 2 — but he did it right in front of a cop. The perp fled with Officer Mark Holder, but the cop got his man at around 3:30 pm.

• Two perps approached their victim on Gates Avenue near Waverly Avenue and grabbed his phone from his pocket on Feb. 2. The victim told cops that when he resisted, one of the phone snatchers threatened him saying, “Say something and we’ll jump you on the spot.”

They got away with the grab.

Sandwich scandal

A gun-toting thug walked into a Fulton Street Subway shop on Jan. 31 and got away with much more than dinner.

Witness said the thief entered the eatery, which is between Clinton and Waverly avenues, at around 5:15 pm, waved his silver gun around and demanded all the money from the register.

Pod snatchers

Two perps grabbed a man’s iPod in a sneak attack on DeKalb Avenue on Feb. 5.

The victim told cops that he was near Carlton Avenue at around 3:15 pm when the men approached. One said, “What you got?” while the other rifled his pockets, finding the digital music device.

Target trifling

Watch your backs, Target shoppers. Thieves continue to stalk the aisles of the Target at the Atlantic Terminal Mall.

• A superficial shoplifter was seen trying to get away with over $900 worth of beauty supplies on Feb. 6. The greedy shopper also tried to steal electronic equipment and almost $100 worth of candles in the 6:15 pm swipe. An employee called the cops, and the perp was arrested by Officer Desmond Dempster.

• Another thief grabbed a lady’s purse from her cart on Feb. 6. The victim said that as soon as she turned her back at around 5 pm, a thief stole her wallet from her bag and got away with her cash.
