Want a Brooklyn apartment that looks down on the iconic Williamsburg Bank Building, now known as One Hanson Place?
Then head on over to the borough’s tallest building, the Brooklyner, 11 Lawrence Street, in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn.
The building features one 51st floor penthouse, which is renting for a mere $7,500 a month.
“This will be the highest apartment in Brooklyn,” said David Perry, Brooklyner director of sales and leasing. “Even when you’re looking out at the Williamsburg Bank Building (the borough’s former tallest building) you’re looking down on it, and it’s surprising how little it looks from the penthouse.”
The three-bedroom, 1,500-square foot penthouse, along with another 1,000 square feet of outdoor terrace, faces south, east and west with views of the New York Harbor, Coney Island and Long Island.
The 51st floor also has a common area, which faces towards Manhattan with a common outdoor terrace area for residents in the other 490 rental units in the building.
“We have a common area on the 4th floor and the top floor,” said Perry. “We thought with all those people renting studios and one bedrooms in the building, wouldn’t it be great to give them a top floor amenity.”
As for the rents on the other apartments, Perry said the studios are in the $1,500-$1,700 range with the one bedrooms starting at $2,000, and the two-bedroom apartments in the building starts at $3,000.
The studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments also come with two free months rent on signing 14-month leases, he said.
Perry said leasing has been brisk with about 20 percent of the units already rented.
While people have been moving in, the entire building won’t be completed for another year, he said.
That includes the penthouse, he added.
