Cool crafts end year at Sylvan Learning Center

Nine-year-old Amber Hinojo proudly surveyed the plaster craft she created at the Sylvan Learning Center in Sheepshead Bay with help from her mom, Michelle.

The pair was among several art-smart kids and parents celebrating the end of the year on June 23 at the tutorial facility, which is on E. 17th St. between Avenues Y and Z, with an afternoon of cool crafts, co-hosted by Plaster Galaxy.

The kids weren’t the only ones getting all the attention: Parent Robert Wilson channeled his inner child by overhauling a plaster dump truck with brightly-colored paint.

“It brings the community together and the kids get a chance to end the school year with a paint-your-own plaster craft party,” said center director Natalie Grinberg of the fun-filled frolic.
