Hell on wheels
A raving mad driver sped past a fire engine with its lights on and hit the fireman who attempted to stop him on Gold Street on June 7.
The motorist gunned the engine near the Tillary Street firehouse at 8:45 pm and struck a firefighter, causing his leg to get trapped under the bumper of the car.
The lunatic kept driving and the victim rolled onto the hood of the car. Then the driver went into reverse in order to force the firefighter off his vehicle.
A witness attempted to stop the crazed driver, but the maniac yelled, “F—k you!” and held up a middle finger before nearly hitting another bystander.
The driver turned left onto Johnson Street, where police collared their suspect.
Pedal pushers
A tag team of thieves stole the wallet from a bicyclist on Nevins Street on June 11, after stopping him for a cigarette.
The 39-year-old victim told cops that he was near Atlantic Avenue when a thug stopped him and asked, “Do you have a cigarette?”
The man said no and got back on his bike. That’s when the crook yanked him off his two-wheeler and he hit the ground. “If you don’t have a cigarette, give me what you have!” the thief demanded.
Two shady accomplices held onto the victim’s bike, so the man handed over his wallet. The devious troika made off with two credit cards, $100 and a Macy’s credit card.
Losing sleep
A thief stole a woman’s debit card and Metrocard while she slept on a Coney Island-bound D train on March 29.
The 61-year-old victim told police that when she woke up at 12:30 am at the Pacific Street station, she realized her pocketbook was unzipped and the items were missing. The crook had spent $201 on her debit card.
Home free
A burglar stole a man’s polo shirt and slacks and loafed around his Montague Terrace apartment on June 10.
The 24-year-old victim told police that when he entered his apartment near Pierrepont Place at 6:50 pm, he found a stranger in his library, looking out the window with binoculars. He asked, “Are you here for the techie job?” and the crook said, “Yes.”
Then he noticed the thief was wearing his father’s duds and sneakers. The man escorted the fake computer specialist to the lobby, and police arrested a 25-year-old suspect shortly after.
HoytPhone
A mugger swiped a woman’s iPhone on Hoyt Street on June 10.
The 30-year-old victim told police that she was near Wyckoff Street at 10:30 pm when the bandit came up from behind and grabbed her mobile.
Hotel party
A party-spoiling thief stole cellphones and credit cards from three women carousing at an Adams Street hotel on June 11.
The victims told police that nine people whooped it up in their room at the Brooklyn Marriott near Willoughby Street, passing out in the wee morning hours. When some partiers woke up at 6 am, they realized items were missing from the purses they left in a corner of the room.
An 18-year-old woman lost three credit cards, a 19-year-old lost an iPhone, and another 18-year-old lost her BlackBerry.
Tech theft
A thief made it big time when he snatched two laptops, a financial calculator and an MP3 player from a car parked on Flatbush Avenue Extension on June 11.
The 27-year-old victim told police that he parked near Junior’s on DeKalb Avenue at 1:51 pm. When he left the diner at 3:21 pm, he noticed the goods were missing from his car.
Gold? Mine!
A mugger stole the jewelry and wallet from a 52-year-old woman on Livingston Street on June 11.
The victim told police she was near Hoyt Street at 3:30 pm with her granddaughter when a thug approached her from behind, pressed a gun to her back and ordered, “Give me your wallet and your jewelry!”
The crook snatched her rings, earrings and chain, as well as $35, before fleeing.
Wheel bad
A thief stole a Honda motorcycle from State Street on June 3.
The 28-year-old victim told police that he parked near Boerum Place at 2:48 pm, and when he returned a half hour later the bike was gone.
Department score
A pickpocket swiped a woman’s wallet as she shopped at the Fulton Street Macy’s on June 8.
The 64-year-old victim told police that she set down her billfold at the department store near Hoyt Street at about 2:30 pm. Within minutes, it was gone.
The thief got away with a load of foreign cash, including $1,000 worth of Trinidad dollars.
Housebreak
A thief snatched a woman’s pocketbook after she left it outside her Henry Street home on June 6.
The 45-year-old victim said that she placed her Coach bag at the door of her residence near Love Lane at 11:45 am. When she went to retrieve it five minutes later, it was gone — along with her car keys, parking garage card, and small digital camera.
Sew long!
Three goons with a gun robbed big money from a Bond Street tailor on June 6.
The 40-year-old employee told cops that a crook entered his shop near State Street at 8:36 pm with a handgun. He closed in on the counter and demanded, “Give me the money.”
The clerk gave some cash to the robber, who then ordered, “Give me the other money” and reached into the register himself.
The bandit fled into a white getaway car. The shopkeeper jumped into his own vehicle and chased after the thugs, who stopped at Atlantic Avenue and Third Avenue to pick up a third man.
That’s when the employee lost the thieves, who got away with $700.
Game over
An intruder stole a PlayStation and games from a Wyckoff Street apartment on June 7.
The 29-year-old female gamer told cops that she left her apartment near Nevins Street at 7 am. When she returned that night, her PS3 console was gone.
Hard knocks
A thief purloined a few thousand dollars from a York Street middle school.
The principal of the school near Navy Street said that someone stole $4,785 in cash and checks from the main office.
She said the parent coordinator, a school administrator, placed the money in an unlocked desk drawer on May 24 at 2 pm. She reported it missing on June 6.
Witness account
Two robbers held up a Third Avenue deli on June 6 and stole cash and a bystander’s wallet and cellphone.
A witness told police that the thugs entered the shop near State Street at 11:30 pm. One of the crooks brandished a gun and pushed a man to the back of the store, while the other glommed $80 from the cash register and $60 from a customer.
The devious duo grabbed their loot and fled.
Running on empty
A two-bit burglar stole two cash registers from a Livingston Street clothier on June 6.
The owner told police she heard glass break from inside her store near Nevins Street at 1:24 am. Several minutes later she saw the thief run off with two registers, which were empty.
Bank rolled
A robber hit pay dirt after stealing from a Montague Street bank on June 7.
An employee told police that the bandit entered the Chase Bank near Clinton Street at 12:45 pm. and passed the teller a note that said, “All $100, $50, $20.”
The stickup artist then yelled, “Large bills, $100, $50! Let’s go, let’s go!”
He fled with $2,040.
