Man jumped for pills

A 49-year-old was arrested after he jumped a man on Brighton First Street on Sept. 1, taking $960 and 119 Oxycodone pills.

The victim was nearing Oceanview Avenue at 8 pm when the suspect attacked, hitting him in the face.

The thief then rifled through his pockets, taking his money and prescriptions.

Cops from the 60th Precinct arrested the thief a short time later, charging him with robbery, menacing and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Home invasion

Two thieves forced their way into a Surf Avenue home on Aug. 26, taking a teenage tenant by surprise.

The victim was inside his home, which is near W. 21st Street, at 6:55 pm when there was a knock at the door.

The teen answered the door and the suspects pushed their way inside, knocking him to the ground.

They snagged the teen’s PlayStation and were trying to pry a laptop computer from their victim’s hands when they gave up the attempt and fled.

Angry attendant

A snoozing parking lot attendant at a Neptune Avenue lot was arrested on assault and reckless endangerment charges on Sept. 5 after he nearly attacked a motorist who woke him up from a nap.

The motorist had driven to the lot, which is near W. Sixth Street, at 1 am and found the parking attendant in his booth, fast asleep.

The driver layed on the horn to wake up the attendant, who, now angered, exited the booth with a shovel and a pick axe.

The attendant was threatening to harm the driver when cops were called.

Wallet swipe

A thief snagged a wallet from a young man on Avenue W on Aug. 26 — then threatened to kill him if he told police.

The victim was near Nostrand Avenue at 3 pm when the suspect approached and rifled through his pockets, taking his property.

When the victim balked, the suspect made his threats, silencing him.

But the victim wasn’t quiet for long: he ultimately told police, who arrested the thief on robbery charges.

Window whisks

A crack-addict was arrested on Aug. 31 after he swiped property from a Sheepshead Bay store two days in a row.

Workers at the store, which is between E. 15th and E. 16th streets, at 3:25 pm on Aug. 29, taking $389 worth of property from the store window.

The goon fled with the loot, only to return the next day, when he took $281 worth of property.

Frustrated store employees called police, who charged the thief with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

Pistol perp

A 20-year-old with an air pistol was arrested on Aug. 31 following a robbery on 85th Street.

The victim was approaching 24th Avenue at 11:15 pm when the thief surprised her. He flashed his gun and ordered her to hand over her handbag, which contained a pair of pricey sunglasses and some credit cards.

But the thief didn’t get far with the loot. Cops nabbed him a short time later, charging him with robbery and criminal possession of stolen property.
