All the world’s a circus.

That was the message to youngsters at the SummerStage event in Brooklyn Bridge Park over the weekend, when France’s Barolosko Cirkus Company staged four family-friendly performances on Saturday and Sunday. Brooklyn’s front yard is the perfect place for such an event because of its age diversity, an organizer said.

“The great thing about Brooklyn Bridge Park is that the park is already heavily used by couples, hipsters, and families,” Monique Martin said. “It’s really an all-ages population.”

In addition to the circus show, the goings-on at Pier 1 included dance, puppetry, storytelling, and sing-alongs. Nearly 800 turned out for the fun, and the hula-hooping and juggling sessions were a hit with kids, Martin said. This was the first time the City Parks Foundation held its Brooklyn Family Day in the park.
