Hundreds of police and firefighters stormed Leon Goldstein High School in Manhattan Beach for a counter-terrorism drill on May 15.
Crime fighters took down mock gunmen, recovered from a faux chemical weapon attack, and diffused a fake bomb in scenarios pulled from headlines around the globe, according to police brass.
“We replicated things that happened at San Bernardino, the Bataclan in Paris, France, and in Australia,” said counter-terrorism chief James Waters.
The exercise — the force’s largest in history — tested new communication and building-evacuation technology, as well as systems for responding to drone attacks, officials said.
