An annual pre-Thanksgiving soiree brought out the best of Bay Ridge last week.

More than 100 parishioners, locals, and hungry families feasted on a Thanksgiving dinner last Monday at the yearly Feeding the Family event at Our Lady of Angels on 74th Street between Third and Fourth avenues.

The holiday event was sponsored by the 68th Precinct, and hosted by Catholic Charities.

State sen. Marty Golden (R–Bay Ridge) donated 10 turkeys for the meal, a spokeswoman for Catholic Charities said. The tasty birds were accompanied by “all the fixings,” she said, including pies.

But for Elizabeth Robbio and her son Joshua Quiles, the best part wasn’t even the traditional Thanksgiving fare.

“The lasagna was our favorite — everything was OK, but the lasagna was the best part,” she said.

And, oh, yeah, the pies were OK, too.

“The spiced pie and the pumpkin pie were the best,” she said.
