Thanks to state Sen. Kevin Parker, (D–Flatbush) for sponsoring his 11th annual Job Fair on June 26.

In partnership with Councilman Jumaane D. Williams (D–Flatbush), and co-sponsor Opportunities For A Better Tomorrow, the event was held at the Student Union Center at Brooklyn College in Midwood, and welcomed more than 200 job seekers to on-site interviews with recruiters, resume writing workshops, and interview prep sessions.

“Each year, I look forward to the annual Job Fair, which provides a platform for residents in my district and the surrounding areas to learn about employment opportunity within various city agencies and organizations,” said the senator.

“The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is committed to providing resources to residents throughout Brooklyn. Sen. Parker’s Job Fair provided the perfect opportunity for us,” said Lara Pantin, recruitment specialist at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce.

Agencies and organiztions included: NYC Department of Corrections, NYPD, Wells Fargo, NYPD-Senior Police Recruitment Section, MTA New York City Transit, MTA Metro North, Department of Mental Health & Hygiene, The White Glove Home Care Agency, Brooklyn Public Library, Sears, The New York National Guard, Manhattan School of Computer Technology, Department of Civil Service, BEOC, ICL, Opportunities For A Better Tomorrow, Recruiting and Retention, NCO/Army, Pre-K For All, The Jewish Board, Prime America, NYC Parks Department, NYC Transit Authority and Walgreens.
