Con artist
A woman sent a hoaxer $27,900 after he said she was under investigation for money laundering on Sept. 22.
The victim, who lives on Bay Ridge Parkway between 20th and 21st avenues, told police that the scam artist called her at 1:22 pm, claiming he was a Chinese policeman who needed to track and verify her money because she was suspected of money laundering. She transferred the money from a nearby bank, even after employees told her three times that the call was a scam, police reported.
Teen terrors
Three teenagers threatened a 13-year-old with a knife and swiped his cellphone on W. Seventh Street on Sept. 24.
The victim told cops that the 14-year-old delinquents approached him as he exited the subway at W. Seventh Street and Avenue U at 2:45 pm, and said “Run your sh–,” while whipping out a knife. The victim gave the robbers his iPhone X and his bag, before they fleeing, cops said.
Bottled up rage
A 21-year-old man threw a cologne bottle at his relative’s head on 20th Avenue on Sept. 24.
The 24-year-old victim told cops that his angry family member threw the glass bottle at him following a dispute between 20th and 21st Avenues at 9:12 pm, causing laceration above the victim’s left ear.
Violent attack
Two ruffians attacked a woman while she was getting off the bus at Bay Parkway on Sept. 27.
The victim told police that the two women punched her in the back of the head as she exited the bus on 86th Street at 1:30 pm and kicked her in the stomach, trying unsuccessfully to take her phone.
