Batting clean-up
A thug clubbed a city employee with a baseball bat in Pigeon Park on Oct. 21, police say.
The victim said he was sweeping up debris in the 93rd Street and Fourth Avenue corner of the greenspace at 10:30 am when the goon approached him with a pitbull on a leash and a slugger in hand.
When the dog started acting up, the victim told the crook to keep the animal under control — prompting the villain to hit the worker on the arm with the big stick.
“Wait right here, I am going to get a gun,” the fiend said, before stalking off.
Biker gang
Three crooks on bicycles attempted to mug a man in Leif Ericson Park on Oct. 21, according to cops.
The victim said he was at the corner of 67th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway at 9:10 pm and heading home when the trio of jerks on wheels approached him.
One of the creeps pulled out a gun and demanded the man fork over his cash. However, the victim said a car slowed up alongside them, and the robbers instantly scattered.
Wheel goes round
A jerk jacked the tires and rims off a car parked on 74th Street on Oct. 18, cops say.
The victim said he left his vehicle between Sixth and Seventh avenues at 3 pm, and came back at 8:30 the next morning to find the wheels stripped to the hubs.
Purse pilfered
A sneaky thief swiped a woman’s purse from her vehicle in her driveway on 80th Street on Oct. 20, police report.
The victim told cops she pulled in by her house between Fourth and Fifth avenues at 5:20 pm, and left the $600 bag on the front seat of her car while she unloaded stuff from the back. She brought several items into the house, and when she came back out, her pocketbook — with her $400 iPhone, $120 in cash, and her $250 wallet inside — was gone.
Slasher
A villain stole $8,074 in jewelry and electronics from a 73rd Street apartment after slicing open numerous pieces of furniture to find the treasures sometime between Aug. 18 and Oct. 1, cops report.
The victim said he left his home between 12th and 13th avenues at 4 pm, and returned home at 5 pm the first of this month to find somebody had broken the lock on his balcony door and cut up his chairs — and taken $2,300 in gold chains, $875 gold pendant, $1,300 in gold bracelets, $1,200 in gold rings, two laptops worth a combined $1,599, a $300 camera, a $500 watch, and $1,000 in religious items.
