The MTA will be working on the subway all weekend, but at the usual spots. Read on for all the transit news that affects your weekend plans. (Saturday, Aug. 6 at 12:01 am to Monday, Aug. 8 at 5 am unless otherwise noted):
4: No trains between Utica Avenue and the Brooklyn Bridge. Take the 3 train, which will be extended to New Lots Avenue. You can also use the N or the Q trains at the Atlantic-Pacific.
A, C: Queens-bound trains will run on the F line from West Fourth Street to Jay Street-Metrotech, skipping High Street. To get to High Street, take the A to Jay Street-Metrotech, then transfer to the Manhattan-bound A.
D: Manhattan-bound trains run on the N from Stillwell Avenue to 36th Street.
F: All trains skip Smith-Ninth Street (all times).
G: No trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Avenue. For Coney Island-bound service, take the A train from Hoyt-Schermerhorn to Jay Street-Metrotech and transfer to the F.
L: Operates in two sections: from Eighth Avenue in Manhattan to Broadway Junction and from Broadway Junction to Rockaway Parkway, every 24 minutes.
Q: Manhattan-bound trains skip Neck Road and Avenues H, M and U.
