Celebrate Valentine’s Day early with Brooklyn Artists Gym. The first installment of their swap meet series, “BAGGAGE Claim” will focus on the theme of romantic commerce, February 13, 6-8 p.m. at 168 Seventh Street in Park Slope.
BAG will use its 1,400 square-foot gallery and event space for a joint exhibition and exchange of goods. Help build a temporary museum with the evidence of love gone by — bring your mix tapes, hoodies, love letters, crappy jewelry and all those gifts he/she bought you that proved he/she never really knew you.
Exchange the relics of relationships past, gain some closure and walk away emancipated. Although this swap meet is themed, everyone is welcome. Whether you’ve already moved on or aren’t quite ready, bring something to swap.
Additionally, “BAGGAGE Claim” will feature the culinary handiwork of Goodie BAG Baking. Delicious treats will be on sale to satiate your discerning palette.
Rylee Eterginoso will exhibit her ongoing conceptual and participatory work “The Breakup Project.” Selected submissions will be on view as well as a letter writing station.

S” – the story of a relationship told through material evidence. Erica Freyberger and Patrick Feist archive the evidence of their unfinished relationship, resulting in an installation of hundreds of scraps, keepsakes and souvenirs.
