Pig deal
Thieves stole thousands of dollars worth of goods and a piggy bank filled with $2,000 in coins from an Ovington Avenue apartment sometime between May 16 and 17.
The victim told cops that she left her home, between Ridge Boulevard and Third Avenue, at 8 am. She returned the next day to find that her jewelry, laptop, eye glasses, fur coat and lucrative piggy bank were gone.
Threecherous
Three thugs swiped about $100,000 and jewelry from a 77th Street home on May 15.
Security videos showed the three criminals entering the house between Colonial and Ridge roads at around 8 pm. They made off with checks, a watch and cash — both American greenbacks and the currently popular Euros.
Coach car
Someone broke into a car parked on 62nd Street on May 15 to steal a Coach purse and a wallet.
The victim told cops that she left her vehicle between Eighth and Ninth avenues at 4:40 pm and returned a half-hour later to find her stuff gone.
Unholy deed
Someone stole a purse from inside a Fourth Avenue church on May 17.
The pious victim told cops that she was inside St. Patrick’s Church, between Fourth Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway, at around 2 pm and left a half-hour later. When she got home, she realized she had forgotten her purse in the church, but it was gone when she went back to get it.
Gang up
Five thugs beat up and mugged a man on Fifth Avenue and 72nd Street on May 17.
The 25-year-old victim told cops that he was walking near the intersection around 4:45 when the quintet approached him.
One perp asked “Are you a Latin Kings?” The victim said no, after which the group jumped him. The rowdy bunch then punched and kicked him before grabbing his iPod and fleeing.
