Bottle scars
A woman’s late-night meal turned ugly when a crook struck her with a bottle, leaving scratches on the victim’s forehead and right arm, police said.
The victim was enjoying her meal on June 2 when the crook fired the bottle at her around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Ocean Parkway and W. 1st Street, according to authorities.
Laundromat thief
A burglar robbed a man of his wallet while he was mid-spin cycle on Avenue Z on June 2.
The victim left his wallet — which contained his drivers license and debit card — on top of a washing machine around 8 p.m. and went about his day. The victim returned after realizing he didn’t have his wallet, but it had already been stolen, according to authorities.
Bruised and confused
A home invader broke in and punched a man in the face at Brighton 12th Street.
The bruiser broke through the door around 3 p.m. and began his attack, while left the victim bleeding and with bruises to his face, police said. The victim did not go to the hospital.
McBandit
A fast food bandit made off with a woman’s iPhone, as well as her drivers license and debit cards, on June 2.
The thief struck when the victim picked up her food at a McDonalds on Mermaid Avenue. Police said she had placed her phone on the counter and walked out around 4 p.m.
The phone’s last known location was in the Bronx and none of the cards have been used, police said.
Phony fed
A huckster claiming to be a federal agent called a man and scared him into purchasing more than $1,000 worth of gift cards.
A woman called the victim on June 3 around 6 p.m., telling him he was in trouble for criminal activity. The scammer than transferred the call to a man who claimed to be an officer in the 60th Precinct.
The man convinced the victim to go to multiple stores on West 8th street and purchase a total of $1,500 in gift cards, according to authorities.
