Long-distance call
A thief ran off with a man’s cellphone he “borrowed” at a Fifth Avenue burger joint on Jan. 11.
The victim told police he lent the crook his phone to make a call inside the fast food restaurant between 52nd and 53rd streets at 9 pm, but claims the fiend later refused to hand it back, and ran off with it after concluding his chat.
When police arrived, they found the victim drunk and unable to provide a description of the thief, cops said.
No arrests have been made in the case, which has been closed, according to police.
Expressway to jail
Cops busted a 20-year-old man for allegedly driving drunk after he was involved in a collision on the Gowanus Expressway on Jan. 11.
The arresting officer claimed the suspect reeked of booze and was slurring his speech near the 38th Street exit, where he and another driver had collided at 2:15 am.
Police cuffed him at the scene, charging him with a misdemeanor drunk driving charge, cops said.
Low blow!
Police cuffed a 49-year-old woman for allegedly kicking a 30-year-old man in the crotch after he refused to take out the garbage at their 39th Street home on Jan. 7.
The victim told police the woman, a relative, threatened with him a knife, before punching him in the face and kicking right where the sun don’t shine at their apartment between Fifth and Sixth avenues at 12:10 pm.
Cops arrested the woman that day, charging her with misdemeanor menacing, according to police.
