Sock thief hospitalizes Fulton Mall store employee

A sock thief hospitalized a clothing store employee during an assault with a tin bottle on Fulton Mall on Nov. 4.

The victim told police that he intercepted the ne’er-do-well while trying to take the footwear from the outlet between Jay and Pearl streets at 4:30 pm, but the attacker smacked him in the head with the metal object and kicked him repeatedly.

Paramedics brought the worker to Brooklyn Hospital for treatment, according to police reports.

Bottle bruiser

Police arrested a man for allegedly hitting a cop with a glass bottle on Gold Street.

The victim told police that they walked up to the suspect’s car, which was previously reported stolen at Nassau Street around 5:10 am, but the defendant allegedly hit the Boy in Blue on the hand.

Cops then arrested the suspect for felony assault, according to police reports.

Fancy frames

Some looter stole more than $15,000 worth of glasses frames from a Jay Street optometrist on the night of Nov. 7.

Witnesses told police that the bandit busted the glass front door of the shop near MetroTech sometime overnight and snatched 19 pairs of frames.

Bad deal

Police are looking for a criminal who blackmailed a guy out of $850 for his own phone on Fulton Mall on Nov. 4.

The victim told police that the baddie grabbed his cellphone from his hand near Elm Place at 4 pm and demanded he hand over the cash in exchange for getting back his device.

Quick swipe

A prowler grabbed a man’s bike on Warren Street on Nov. 7.

The victim told police that he left his bike unattended for a minute between Smith and Court streets at 1:20 pm, but when he came back it was gone.
