What a tool
A thief stole some tools and an iPod out of a construction company’s truck parked on Douglass Street on Sept. 28.
The victim told cops he left the car near Nevins Street at 7 am. At 2:50 pm, he found the doors opened and the car rummaged through.
Pathmark pinch
A brazen bandit reached behind a cash register inside the Pathmark on 12th Street and stole an employee’s wallet on Sept. 30.
The victim told police that she put her wallet behind the register to begin her 6 pm shift at the store, which is between Second and Third avenues. At 10:30 pm, she discovered it missing. The jerk was caught on camera.
Foul-weather fiend
A perp stole some electronics out of a van parked inside a Second Avenue parking lot on Oct. 1.
The victim told cops that he left the car parked near 10th Street at 11 am, and returned a mere 20 minutes later to find his laptop and video equipment missing. Cameras were at the scene, but bad weather obscured the creep from view.
Fruitful smash
Some thug stole a laptop and an iPod Touch out of a car on Eighth Street on Oct. 2.
The victim told police that he had parked his car between Fifth and Sixth avenues at 9 am. Nine hours later, he discovered the back window smashed and his Apple products — and a navigation device — missing.
Dodging it
A thief stole a Dodge van from its Eighth Street parking space overnight on Sept. 29.
The victim told cops that he had parked the car near Fifth Avenue at 2 pm. At 7:30 am the next morning, he discovered the vehicle missing.
