Jet Ro jack
Two gun-toting thugs held up a pair of Jet Ro Cash and Carry employees on Sept. 13, taking an assortment of items left behind at the end of a busy shift.
The workers told police they spent all day making deliveries for Jet Ro, and when they returned at 11 pm, the distribution hub on Foster Avenue near E. 100th Street was closed.
The two decided to take the leftover items home for the night and were about to put them in their cars when the thieves flashed their weapons and ran off with the goods.
Lethal lashing
Two women were arrested on Sept. 8 after they whipped another woman with a dog leash on Farragut Road.
Cops were told that the sinister suspects were arguing with the woman between E. 105th and E. 106th streets at 9 pm when they lashed out, leaving her with a swollen face.
The duo reportedly had marijuana on them when they were taken into custody, officials said.
Gutter goons
Two thieves pulled a knife on an Avenue K resident on Sept. 7 as they attempted to take the metal rain gutter lining the man’s house.
Police said the two men threatened to stab their victim during the 11:47 am confrontation at E. 84th Street. Both were taken into custody on petit larceny, menacing and criminal possession of stolen property shortly after the gutter grab.
Gunning for trouble
A 27-year-old was arrested on Rockaway Parkway on Sept. 7 after he threatened a woman with a gun.
The couple was arguing inside an apartment near Seaview Avenue when he threatened to use the pistol he had in his hand and aimed at the floor.
The woman called police, even after he said he was “really going to shoot” the woman if she brought cops into the mix.
Stabbed in the back
Three fiends jumped a 29-year-old on Sept. 8 for no apparent reason, stabbing their victim in the back.
The victim told police he was nearing the corner of Lott Place and E. 40th Street at 12:30 pm when the suspects attacked and stabbed him twice.
Stress reliever
Talk about being stressed out! A thief barrelled into a Ralph Avenue store on Sept. 8 and attacked a clerk just so he could get his hands on some stress-relieving lotion.
Workers at the store, which is between Avenues K and L, said that the suspect entered at about 9:50 pm and threw an employee against a glass wall before running off with the goods.
Cool crime
A thief entered a Ralph Avenue address on Sept. 9 by removing an air conditioner sticking out of the window.
Cops were told that the thief entered the home, which is between Glenwood and Farragut roads, sometime after 8 pm, taking $600, some electronics and a cell phone.
More violence
A man was shot on Sept. 3 near the corner of Remsen and Foster avenues a few hours earlier.
Police said the unidentified victim was shot around 7:30 pm with non life-threatening injuries.
The gunman had not been found by late Tuesday.
Who shot the DJ?
A gunman opened fire on a DJ on Sept. 5 as the music mixer loaded his equipment into his car, which was parked on E. 45th Street, after a gig.
The victim had just finished his gig, which was between Avenues L and M, at around 6 am when the trigger-happy pistoleer approached and hit him once in the chest before running off.
The 31-year-old was rushed to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Help wipe out graffiti
As the ongoing war against graffiti vandalism continues, cops are offering a $500 reward to anyone with information that can help them arrest neighborhood vandals.
The hefty reward is part of the city’s ongoing push to rid New York of graffiti, the leading quality of life complaint brought to police.
Anyone with information about graffiti vandalism in their neighborhood is urged to contact either 311 or 911.
